Cookies browser storage

One key in your browser. Nothing in ours.

The word cookie covers a few different things, and this site uses almost none of them. Here is the honest inventory.

The list key

Building a list stores one entry in local storage, a browser feature similar to a cookie but never sent with a request. It contains the ASINs you picked, their quantities, the product names, prices and image addresses used to draw the list. It stays on the device and disappears when site data is cleared.

No tracking cookies of our own

kuangm.com sets no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie and no session identifier. There is no sign-in, so there is nothing to keep a session for.

What Amazon sets

Clicking a product link or the hand-off button takes you to Amazon.com.au, and Amazon sets cookies there under its own policy. Those cookies support the shopping session and the Associates attribution. They begin at Amazon and are controlled there.

How to clear the local entry

The basket page carries a clear button that empties the list immediately. The same result comes from clearing site data for kuangm.com in the browser settings; other sites are unaffected.
